ACVPN,others kicks against move to withdraw case of serial rapist from court.
Barely one year the Igando Police divisional under Lagos state command arrested a middle age man by the name Bolaniran Orimolade ,aka(Bolo Bebo),member of NURTW was accused of raping his 15 years old step daughter and in the process infected her with HIV.
The rapist after defiling and raping the young girl had threatened to kill her if she expose what transpired between them to any one. But the young girl summoned courage and revealed the act to her mother who in turn took bold step and report the matter to Police .
News9africa learnt that the suspect was arrested by police and while HIV test was conducted on the girl,the result of test was HIV positive.
Following the result the Mother who is also the Wife of the accused was advice to do test which she eventually did and tested positive to HIV.
As the news flittered everywhere all the suspect girl friends secretly went for test at the end twelve of them came and report the same man that he has infected them with HIV.
At this stage the matter took a new turn the Divisional Polce Officer (DPO ) Igando decided to transfer the case State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID ), Panti Yaba for further probe. At SCID the Suspect was charged to Court and was remanded at the Ikoyi Prison.
The matter drew the attention of few Non-Governmental Organization who came to the rescue of all the victims of the rapist including the Wife and her fifteen years old daughter. They were giving drugs, food as well as regular allowances to cater for their wellbeing to enable them survive the dreaded disease till date. Now the suspect family are making frantic move pressuring the wife a victim and also mother of the fifteen years old girl to go and withdraw the case from Court.
The three NGO following up the matter includes ACVPN ,PAHFIN and AUNTLANDA FOUNDATION. The three organizations are calling on the Lagos State Ministry of Justice and the Lagos State Police Command to rise up and ensure the case see the light of the day and Justice serve
